Having spent a lot of my childhood in the Cotswolds, loving this area, and visiting every year. Along with the presenter being one of my favourites, I am really enjoying this programme. Its unrushed, gentle and scenic and Pam Ayes is a delight presenting it. So refreshing after some of the loud, and sometimes violent dramas and the often nonsense reality shows. Shame we don’t see more of Pam on TV. It’s like a hug on a Friday night.

I'm enjoying it too, nice and gentle.

We watch lots of the walks/train journeys/Yorkshire vet and farm/new life in the wild type programmes. As you say so much else that's on is loud, violent  and generally unpleasant especially the soaps, not that we watch them. With those I often wonder which - the storyline or life replicates which.....

I'm enjoying the new All creatures great and small, I loved the books and the original TV series, not keen on the film. This adaptation is very lovely too. I see a remake of tge darling buds of May is starting on Sunday with Bradley Walsh as pa, fingers crossed it'll be worth a watch.

Yes we've enjoyed it too. It's good to have alternative viewing. The Cotswolds don't need much publicity but never fail to attract. smile

I liked the BBC walk programme last night as well, along the river Deben. Having visited Sutton Hoo this year it was nice to see more of the area.

It's a very watchable programme especially with that twinkle in her eye. Each episode ends with a poem. Many years ago we saw Pam on stage at the Stables in Milton Keynes and that was a delight.

We visited Sutton Hoo two weeks ago on our recent tour. It was interesting to see the programme. It has confirmed my view that a further visit is required.

She is a great presenter, full of fun. Really enjoying this series. We have spent a bit more time in Cotswolds this year, done quite a bit of exploring both by bike and in the car.

Saw the Deben programme as well, again very interesting.
