Adrian Twin 2008 Help
We have just bought our first motor home, Adrian Twin 2008. Sadly the dealers are not giving us a great deal of technical information. I was hoping/wishing/praying that some kind person with a similar vehicle would be able to answer a few of our questions on how to do different things, like drain the boiler tank prior to winter, etc. Thank you. Debra.

Most of what you have fitted will be from a handful of manufacturers rather than Adria e.g. fridge by Dometic, Awning by Fiamma or Thule Omnistor, toilet by Thetford or Dometic, combi boiler by Truma etc. All you need to do is identify the manufacturer (should be on the appliance) and Google the relevant manual online - much of it will be readily available for a 2008 model. Adria Twin is a nice motorhome, Slovenian build so expect European rather than UK components.

Thank you for your quick response. We have a mountain of manuals and pieces of paper but are struggling with a few things, like how to drain the boiler for winter and just can't work it out. There must be a plug somewhere!

I am sure someone will know details of your Adria, but in our panel van there is a false floor between the dinette seat and passenger seat and the blue drain tap for boiler drainage (assuming you have a truma boiler) is there. You do have to be a bit of a contortionist to reach it.

You may or may not have a safety valve fitted to the boiler. If you have it will automatically open and dump the contents of the boiler (and water tank) if the temperature drops below 4c as a precaution to prevent damage to the boiler. You can reset and manually operate the dump valve, but the starting point is to establish which type you have fitted - automatic or manual. My money would be on the former, if so this might help Truma Boiler (page 7). Remember to open all taps & shower when draining.
