Seatback organiser for motorhome seats
Hi all,
Is it possible to get seatback organisers that fit onto motorhome seats with an integral headrest?
In our van we have swivelling captain's seats (a bit like this: https://www.jennings-seats.co.uk/product/manufacturer/fasp/fiat-ducato-captains-swivel-seat/ ), but because they, for some reason, do not have adjustable headrests, there is nowhere to hang a standard seatback organiser. Does anyone make one with elasticated bands instead? If so, are they any good?

Thanks - good points. We’ve got a 4 seat/4 berth, so there are two seats behind the front ones. It’d be useful to have a multi pocket affair to hold small stuff you need to be able to just grab from the hab area, either travelling or stationary (we don’t always swivel the seats round, only for meals “indoors”). Stuff like drinks, maps, leaflets, wipes, handgel, chargers, etc etc. Not intending reaching round whilst driving:)
I’m sure I’ve seen someone with such things, wish I’d gone over and asked at the time, seeing how difficult they are to find!

Storage space in a motorhome is at such a premium that we discovered that it was convenient to strap our picnic chairs to the back of the driver and passenger seats using bungee straps. May not suit everybody but it works for us because we never swivel the seats.

We use our seat pockets, every bit of storage is useful. Have you tried looking at Halfords or ebay etc. Understand the problem with your type of seat but there must be something out there that would hook over somehow. Hope you find something!

My seat covers obstruct the pocket on the back of my seats and the road atlas etc go in the centre bin where they are accessible to the navigator although, like the Phantom of the Opera, we have passed the point of no return by the time she's found the page.

The only ones I’ve seen in Halfords, as elsewhere, are ones with a little buckle strap designed to go round the two upright supports of an adjustable headrest - not the whole width of the upper portion of an integrated headrest!
Agree that every bit of storage space is valuable, especially with children:)

Yes without seeing the seats and what's on offer it's hard to speculate but I did think wide-ish strap which could sit flat to the seat and fixed with velcro fastening on the ends - several if necessary. Where there's a will there's generally a way, but very hard to do in abstract 😉.
You can purchase a non-sew velcro as well. A visit to your local haberdashery shop and a chat with the staff, especially if its self owned might produce ideas especially as you could take in photos. You may just find a person willing to make a bespoke one or two 🤞. Just don't pick a busy time! We are lucky to still have 2 proper haberdashery outlets plus the well known chain one. Support the independent if you can.....

I have often thought about seatback organisers but I think the way we do things they would get in the way. We store our outdoor chairs behind the turned round passenger chair so I think that sort of storage would get in the way. My next project is a Fiamma Back Box which might allow me to reconsider something on the back of the seats.

Thanks for all the suggestions re seat back organisers. I’ll investigate seat covers with integral pockets, and/or modifying the standard type of seat back organiser!
