CL Filters (Pictograms)

When looking at booking cl’s on the website and using the pictograms to choose preferences the one I think we now need and is not there is fresh water hook ups. So many cl’s are now providing this extra and so many people are using water hook ups the pictogram is a must.

It wouldn’t take the club much to add this and revamp the filter system completely. There are 19 pictograms.  Looking at these in order, Adult Only definitely needed. Children Welcome, not necessary, if it’s not AO then its self explanatory although, strangely, it only show 392 sites welcome children. Dogs Welcome, same as children, not necessary, 2149 cl’s welcome dogs out of 2256. It would be better changed to No Dogs. Now fishing, three pictograms, game and course in 5 miles plus fishing on site. Coarse and game fishing shows 657, quite a large number but probably only benefitting a very small minority of members, whilst I can understand fishing on site but not to travel any great distance. Pubs, only 42 and surely it could be worked out from the name.

No doubt some of the above could be debatable but others need adding and others revamping. The most obvious newcomer should be Fresh Water Hook Ups

I have felt the same way Harry for quite some time.

About 10% of CLs now provide an enhanced pitch which includes water. This should replace some of the older ones, most of which you mention.

Outside of CLs that provide fishing on site I can see no reason for these symbols or info in the S.D.  I have seen more cyclists and walkers than fishermen on site. Never seen one sorting out their gear etc.

I hope the people who organise the S.D. take stock of this before the book goes to print next year.

I agree with harryb, and would add that whether there is grey waste disposal at the pitch is also valuable information. We use predominantly CL's and prefer water and grey waste at the pitch so that we dont have to bother taking our Aquaroll and Wastemaster. Many CL's have a water tap at the pitch and some have a grey water drain, however others don't have a drain but are happy to allow the grey water to be piped into bushes or a ditch. Others have a water tap but insist on grey water being taken to a disposal point in a container. We don't mind as we love CL's of all types but, whatever they have, we like to know when browsing for our future bookings.

    "Good afternoon to you,

Thank you the feedback which we have forwarded to our website content team for possible consideration.

We can only hope. Unfortunately one line answers don't instill a lot of confidence in me.
