Cheers

Sorry no one has replied to you after 6 days.

Our KX2 Sorento was new in 2017 and is the best tow cat we have had, so good infact we are about to order a new 2.2 Sorento

Sorry from me too for not seeing your post sooner

I changed from a 55 plate Sorento to an auto model (KX2) and had concerns it would not be as good as the old model for towing my 8' wide !800kg caravan. I need not have worried! It was very accomplished and trustworthy (I, too, have since upgraded). I towed many thousands of kilometres in Continental Europe and the UK without any problems whatsoever and the vehicle was totally reliable, stable and competent.

I got a 2013 KX2 2.2 auto Sorento, brilliant, used to be a Discovery person, but not any more, will be off on Tuesday for a month in Devon then up to Scotland, return via Yorkshire and I am sure it will tow my Coachman with ease.

Many thanks for your replies, we previously had a trusty KX2 2. also 2012 but sold it as we tried a Motorhome but decided it wasn't for us!

We have the 2013 Sportage kx 4 auto it will be a hard act to follow,  as all the later models fall far short smile

The KX1 shares the same engine as all the rest of the range. I think it lacks air suspension but pulling power is fine
