White peg position
Does anyone know why the position of the pitch peg has been changed? (Is it on all sites?) I don’t really want to look out onto my car from my awning and would much prefer it was behind my caravan with the caravan in the middle of the pitch. It also means the grassed area to the side of the pitch remains unused or a s that the intention?

I don't believe anything's changed. It'll likely be something to do with the pitch/site you're on.
Your best bet is to ask the warden on site as he/she is the person who'll know.

As far as I know nothing has changed. The site staff at Southport tried to change the arrangement to caravan > awning > car stating that 'the other way doesn't work here'. I begged to differ as it had been working perfectly well for some time. I contacted Head Office who investigated and the next time we visited Southport all was back to normal car > caravan > awning. I'd much rather have a three metre gap between my awning and my neighbour's vehicle rather than have my own car within a foot of my awning.
If you're not happy with the response I'd suggest you do as I did and contact Head Office Sites Team.

We recently had a week at Hawes. It certainly didn’t apply to the service pitches. Some of the standard ones I passed were car/caravan/awning. However I can’t say I paid that much attention, perhaps the other side of the site was different.

At Gowerton we went in forwards, inflatable windbreak and sun canopy on the left as you looked onto the pitch from the access way, caravan in the middle then car on the right.
Next occupied pitch left was car / caravan / awning.
Next occupied pitch right was car / caravan / awning / car.
Other side of pitch pocket we were in was car / caravan / awning on the right pitch, then awning / caravan / van (tug). on the left. Unoccupied pitches each side.
Lots of space first week of school holidays on these reported jam packed sites. Wonder if last 11 days of school summer holidays will be as spacious on the 2 sites we are booked on. Hope so.

We are now a Cayton village site ant the top half of the site the shingle beach type hardstands all have the White peg in the corner of the pitches ,they are not wide but quite deep, to enable car to be parked on the front of the pitch but will still allow an awning to be used

Get rid of the pegs, problems solved.

There are enough posts on this and other websites ,complaints about to close pitching without making it. worse buy taking out pitch markers to maintain fire breaks
No pitch marker? Can I have the barrier card for where I am, its near another LV over there?,

Oops - I'm glad to see that you spotted my deliberate mistake. Post amended now.

‘Too close pitching’?

My daughter recently stayed on a Haven static site and from her account, the vans were substantially less than 6m apart. Given that this is a national chain, I am somewhat surprised. Are statics subject to different rules or is CAMC out of date?

Fire engines don’t park between burning things, they park away and use a hose

Well done, that’s in reference to fire spread, not fire engine parking.
now, about that picture I posted earlier

From WYFRS;
Roads, Gateways and Footpaths
Not prescribed,Station Managers should be familiar with any access problems and advise the site owner accordingly.
Emergency vehicles should have access to within 90 metres of any unit.0 -
The super fuzzy one that isn’t indicative of anything HtH it looks like a spooks(MI5) offering. What you post knowing it’s source & content is no help to others, it needs content & explanation even scale. My offering was easy to understand, self explanatory & has all the context you need👍🏻

Afternoon
Don't see an issue with that photo. It's obviously a staff compound. Fire regs state that facing walls of vans should have 6 meter spacing, the two outfits in the photo don't have facing walls.

So easy then, park sideways across the pitch, no 6m spacing required, no pegs…. Job jobbed!
