I can't find the original thread  (or it may just have been a series of posts) about Esther and her partner who "sold up" to go travelling in their motorhome some time ago. Esther went missing following a solo hike in the Pyrenees and is still missing.

The latest update is here

Just seen that on the BBC news website.  I suppose the longer she was missing the more likely that something like the latest news report would come to light. Very sad.

If the reports are accurate, and I guess we must assume they are, it's a very sad end to their adventure. Hopefully her partner and family will be spared any intrusive speculation from the press.

Sadly, it has been said that it could take up to a fortnight or so for positive identification to be made. In the meantime we can only hope that the lady is found alive even if suffering in some way.

I tried, without success - internal server errors, to find this thread yesterday, to post as ABM.

Very sad, but not particularly unexpected  her partner has been scouring the area from her last known whereabouts turelessly apparently - my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Most distressing of all from the reports I read, I don't have the links now but one was BBC, it was only one bone no clothing, gear etc which must be raising and posing far more questions than they could have thought possible.

    Rest in Peace Esther Dingley

Bakers, the report in the Mirror, coming from the local police, referred to 'Bones including a skull' which might have been moved there by local creatures possibly wolf or bears.

A very sad end to the story for a brave couple whose attitude to life should act as an inspiration to others.

Very very sad but at least the boyfriend has found her body and belongings. Almost the final act he can do for her. My heart goes out to him her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

Totally agree there, Bakers2.  At least there should be a chance for Esther's friends and family to say their Farewells and support each other together.
