A centre event

This is a question to all of those experienced caravanners, rally marshals, and committee members out there. 

I am sure you have heard the term A Centre Event.

What is a Centre event? can anyone put together a meaning or explanation of this matter

    As far as I am aware it is a centre rally held near or at an event/show within a region's area. The event could be anything likely to be of interest e.g. steam rally, horse show motorhome/caravan show etc
