Where has my post gone?
Just looked this morning and I can't find the post I made about leaving dogs unattended in the van. It's not in the 'Your Pets' section, nor does it appear in "My Profile". Yes, it did get a bit 'heated' at one point but I don't see why the whole thread should have disappeared. What's going on? I sincerely hope this isn't the 'cancel culture' rearing its head on here.

It’s gone Rich. The promise of explanations no longer holds true. I think the mods find it easier to hide everything rather than sort out the transgressors. It was a good thread with a powerful & valid point Rich🤷🏻♂️

Its a shame the good of the thread can no longer be seen.
You could make your feelings known to Rowena and ask her to consider reinstating the thread, R&R, pointing out no warnings were given prior to its removal.

I am actually, extremely annoyed and I shall be making my views known to Rowena. Freedom of speech is something I value very highly and to be ‘cancelled’ in this way is outrageous. Best of it is - I can’t understand what I did that justified this - regardless of comments from elsewhere. If this is the way this forum is run, I can find better things to do with my time.

There is much more to say but it is best said directly to Rowena rather than risk this thread going the way of the other.

Didnt Rowena request that all things to do with dogs and touring be posted on a specific thread? Maybe thats why the new thread has disappeared. Only speculating.

I totally agree with Tinny Rich, your point was very profound but like many threads there are those that wish to agitate, & a way to do this is to hit things we hold dear-Dog welfare. You have way more supporters than detractors. The Trolls need driving back under their bridges. Keep the faith Rich👍🏻

It was a valid and much needed post for the care of dogs and other pets. If there is something that is needed to posted for their welfare then post it.

One of the issues W is-why no warnings or why not move the thread. It’s been done many times with a direction to the place it was moved to🤷🏻♂️

Sadly, on the issue of dogs, any post, (including the dedicated thread,) always, always gets gets subjected to an interrogatory pulling apart not only of dog ownership itself, but quite often the dedication and love that some of us have for our pets, usually by a tiny minority who either don’t want, or simply cannot understand, just how much a part of our family group they are.
The simplest option would be to ignore such threads, given that the subject is possibly of no interest, but no, we have to be made sure that we understand the error of our ways, how we can better improve our lives, etc.....I am sorry your thread was Deleted User R&R, it highlighted an issue thankfully rare on a Club Site, but none the less to be seen all too regularly elsewhere.☹️

Thank you, all, for your support. I have emailed Rowena, asking for an explanation, and in particular, which part of the community guidelines had been transgressed. I am extremely offended that no one had the common courtesy to, at least, email me and explain why this action was being contemplated.
I shall await her response with interest.

I thought it was a very apt thread and would have got lost in the 'dog thread'.
It is/was an extremely appropriate and timely thread.
I tried to find it once yesterday and got the wrong way signs, but accessed it via another route 😉 later and it appeared. I had it as a tab when the road signs appeared.
It's a shame it had some inappropriate posts why couldn't they have been removed?? Whoops mustn't question things 🤐

It’s simply the Club trying to manage the transgression, but not ultimately trying to educate or manage the transgressors better. If you do the second, you hopefully eradicate repeated needs to do the first. Everyone benefits🤷♀️

It's that last bit Bakers - I object to being treated like a naughty child who has been told they have done something wrong - but we're not going to tell you what it is!
