AL-KO Secure
Having difficulty finding which AL-KO wheel lock will fit a new 2021 Swift Challenger 580. The AL-KO web site has not yet been updated to include 2021 Swift Caravans. Would be grateful for any advice.

Perhaps you could identify the wheel used on that specific caravan and check which earlier models used the same wheel, and hence discover the appropriate lozenge to use.

I am sure you have good reasons for choosing an Alko lock but have you tried using one? If so apologies and disregard the following. I had one and found it difficult or fiddly to fit and changed to a Milenco Wraith which the insurance was equally happy with. I know many say they find it easy and you may be one of them? Just thought I'd mention it just in case.

Go to the AL KO Secure site and then "Will it Fit" - it again only goes to 2020 but there are clear pictures of the wheels for each van listed so you should be able to determine if the 2020 insert number will fit your van. As per cornersteady best used on a van with a mover as lining up can be fiddly.

It is no trouble to fit the Alko locks on a twin axle with a mover. I do it often enough. Even with levelling blocks. Details on request.

If you are lucky to have your caravan at home with plenty of space then yes I'd fully agree but at our storage we have to be within a set bay, good enough distance sideways, but a closer set distance back to back with the caravan behind and as such some can't near enough to align the holes using an Alko unless a lock and level is used.
I've also found it's far quicker with a Wraith as no putting in and aligning that special bolt to unscrew the threaded bolt, and the large bolt can go through any hole in your wheel, but as I said some find it easier than me.
Post edit, when people can't get close enough the storage owner suggests taking the caravan out and doing a 360 right hand turn with their mover - it appears to work.

Sell it on Ebay and get a wraith or a nemisis. If you can even better have a look on ebay or facebook for a bulldog max, fits the receiver, is far better than the Alko.
The alko one is a dreadful item with the sole purpose of generating revenue for Alko. The buldog design proved you could have a universal design that was far better.

One of the reasons I had E&P hydraulic levelling fitted - but I must admit it's a bit of an extreme solution if that's the only reason. Now, it's an absolute doddle

We have a twin axle and a mover and still find fitting both Alko locks a pain! We can get one in position with the mover but always have to jack for the second wheel. We have considered a different lock for the second wheel but can’t justify the cost of something else at present.

We currently use nemesis ultra wheel lock which has a receiver and is much like the alko lock only universal. eg, you don't need a special lozenge. We've never had an issue lining it up in storage or on pitch either.
