    I have posted before ,there is a family in our road who have a 15 reg Mitsubishi phev ,,and only tend to use it for short journies round the town but are finding it needs charging more often ,as it has got older which is very dificult as there is not any official access to their house to charge it ,and they say ,it is almost worthless for resale ,as batt getting life exspiredundecided

    JV, I think I read elsewhere your hearing aids are now rechargeable, I hope you are not thinking of charging them from the caravan without paying a fee.tongue-out

    I cannot understand your problem its only £2.00 a day to charge, for that £2.00 we can travel around 28/32 miles and save a fortune in petrol.

    We tow with a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, charging up draws 10 amps for 4 hours then slowly disappears to zero for the next hour.

    We set our charger to recharge over night, if we charge in the day we still have 6 amps left, if we need to use the kettle we just switch the PHEV charger off for a while it just management.

    We are happy to pay the £2.00 charge why should other subsides us?

    The charging cable as with OHs buggy does not get hot with the current that is drawn ,as posted by Brue wink

    All that will happen is that site fees will rise for everyone.

    There is always someone who will take advantage, like the motorhome owner at Grafham who jet washed his vehicle everyday.

    Unfortunately, its the way things are these days. I call it entitlement...'Ive paid my fees, so I'm entitled!'   Perhaps a better word is selfish.

    It used to bother me, but lifes too short

    Agreed. Most are bought as company cars, because they reduce your tax.

    I had a BMW 330e that took 7 hours to charge, and went 14 miles on electric power! In the end, I stopped charging it and just ran on petrol.

    A diesel car that does 40+ mpg is more environmentally friendly than any plug in hybrid

    We have owned our 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for almost 12 1/2 months, over that period we have covered 6185 miles, 1389 of those miles towing a 1500kg caravan total fuel cost including electric (we charge up off peak 5 pence kWh) £472.08 that includes CMC charging fees.
