I got the answers to the sums wrong so it wouldn’t let me start.

I got it right but the software booted me out after the first page. It’s not a very professional job.

How I dislike American spellings, especially when trying to teach us how to use our own language!

However, back on topic, that survey has been commented on in other forums with the general consensus that it’s amateurish both in its content and its software application. I know of one person who has taken the matter further.

    I'll not bother trying again.

I don't disagree with you view of American spelling and use of the English language.  However, I chose that explanation as it is simple and most probably suits the target audience.

Funnily enough, that’s not the first time the issue of capitalisation has been raised on here and I’m sure it was DD, who posted just up page, who made the point on that occasion. What a coincidence🤔

My apologies to Dorset Driver for stealing his or her thunder.  Hopefully my similar comment will be seen as a compliment.

He'll no doubt think he's found a doppelgänger.

According to Google the word doppelgänger comes from the German for double-walker and refers to a biological, non-related, lookalike.  It is said that we all have a doppelgänger out there somewhere and with nearly 8 billion people on the planet maybe that is quite a likelihood; or maybe it is just down to how our brains process faces.  If you're right he has my sympathy laughing.  No offence meant Dorset Driver smile.

I hate American English being used in the UK as well. It is usually borne out of ignorance and watching too much American TV.

However, if you are referring to IZE rather than ISE (it wasn't entirely clear), I think you will find that the notion that IZE is American and ISE is British is a myth. I always used to believe it too until it was used as a clue in an episode of Morse once and it sent me to research the matter.

In fact IZE is technically correct being derived from the original Greek and in use in the UK since the 15th century. It is true, however, that both spellings have come to be regarded as acceptable in British English whereas IZE is the predominant use in the US.

Do you know, I don’t much care what spelling Austen, Shakespeare and the other old timers used in their ancient and, frankly to my mind, boring works, or the Germans or Greeks or whoever.

In this day an age -ise is the accepted spelling by most of us using UK English, not the -ize in use in US English. That’s what I was referring to. Enough lectures for now, eh?

Btw, WTG, I did not "accuse" the OP of using American English but commented on the link he posted. Let's get the facts straight.

I definitely agree to differ, WTG, and I accept your right to your opinion even if you cannot see I was commenting on the link.
