Please can anyone suggest drinking glass ( we don't like using plastic) storage for the caravan, something you do not have to screw in place. To avoid glasses breaking whilst travelling.

Thank you

We only use glass and china for drinking.  Our crockery is always packed away (with appropriate kitchen roll sheets) into a plastic crate for travelling.

We wrap ours too and store them in a lightweight plastic basket. Bubblewrap is an alternative.

Having removed the supplied crystal wine glasses and their holders from our van, we use plastic🙂.

However, we do use china drinking mugs and carry these in an overhead locker. A piece of high density insulation foam sits in the locker with cut outs into which the mugs fit snug as a bug and steady as a rock.

Good. You can buy sheets of it on eBay. It’s very dense which is why it works for holding things steady. At a guess it's around 2cm thick.

It’s better than being very dense😄

    You’re welcome.

Sometimes old threads are resurrected by someone for dubious reasons such as promoting 'enthusiastic debate' and sometimes CT just does it for the hell of it. I can’t imagine this thread falls into the former category 🤣

Our glass glasses are always carried in the cardboard  box packaging that they were in when we bought them from Ikea many years ago and we still have  them all unbroken despite the use they had before covid appeared
