My membership as ran out and I do not know if to renew it or not.

Last year could not go anywhere what with the virus and as a key work still had to work.

I would like to know is it really worth joining again as I payed for membership last year and got nothing out of being a member.

I would like to know  what the benefits of being a member are if I do not use any of the site ???

Sorry to hear you joined and weren't able to go anywhere with your van. I see in your profile you bought your new van last year and then Covid lockdown struck us all. None of us got much benefit from anything we joined last year.

You haven't said if you've been able to use the van since then or if you've used club sites. Membership soon pays for itself if you like using club sites. It's really a personal choice and the benefits are listed in the membership section of the web site.

Good luck with your holiday plans this year.

If sites were your only benefit and you won't be using them, then don't bother. But the future is bright smile

You may or may not have insurance through the club or Mayday recovery. Then there is the great savings guide, which could save you the cost of your membership, depending on how you use it. Plus occasional other offers that give good savings.

On top of that, the sites are open and although most of the popular ones are nearly fully booked, there are a large number that still have good availability.

And don't forget that membership gives you access to CLs.

One option might be to let your membership lapse and rejoin in the future when/if you feel the need.

    It’s (currently) £54. That’s just over £1 per week.

Beyond that, you will need to work out how many times you plan to go away and use Club Sites or CLs, can you get good deals on Club Insurance and Overseas Travel, can you get back money on partnership deals the Club has organised, or get a cheaper car through a deal?

We get back our Membership fee every year via using discount deals on activities, places to visit and in shops that give Club Discount. Seldom use Club Sites, but love the CL network. For us, it’s worth being Members.

You simply need to look at your circumstances, and see if such can work for you........

As others have said the offers to members will often 'pay' for membership. Some are on all the time while others come and go. I got £1000 of free accessories when getting my current car which paid for a factory fitted tow bar and electrics (this was after I'd signed on the price as well).

Interestingly i read an article today that said a survey conducted by i think Money Markets, found that on average £256 per year is spent by people on subscriptions to clubs , etc that they dont use, and folk dont even realise they are paying, they are on a rolling renwal contract that they have had for years, i wonder how many are paying to Amazon Prime and never use the service.

I am a club member, very seldom use club sites and last time i saved any money was in Mountain Warehouse, 10 pct on all goods even those in the sale, bargain, laughing but fingers crossed I may pay an insurance fee to Red Penant via the club next year.

We are all in the same boat, your membership is vital to keep the sites maintained even when they are closed they still need maintenance ready for when we can use them again. Membership fees are a small price to be able to use the best sites in the country. i for one have no issues about paying it and are enjoying them now we can get about.
