Beautiful but unfortunately the majority of these colourful flowers are annuals and need annual ground attention to return to this splendid display year on year. Don’t know if this is more expensive than regular mowing mind but also excellent news for the bees etc.!

Will you have to cut your own lawn on return?!

Sometimes I miss the old push and pull mowers, they were the quietest of all. wink

The only cutting the site manager does here is when a grass pitch becomes vacant, as with it being the growing season, cool needs mustwink

We were looking forward to 2 weeks peace and quiet in Scotland ( Yellowcraigs) every day the mower came out to cut the grass when a caravan or motorhome moved off. It didn't seem to matter whether it had been there one night or more out it came. We will purchase ear protectors in future because inside a caravan it magnifies the noise.

The new people on site were not particularly nice or friendly saying that grass comes before people. Offering a full refund to get off the site after 3 days.

And there I was thinking that people kept them in employment!

We've cancelled our next trip there in favour of a private site that looks after the environment.

There’s an awful lot of grass at Yellowcraigs and I suspect it’s inevitable that some needs cutting every day. Tbh, I think it's common sense to cut a pitch when someone leaves in readiness for the next occupant as none of us want to turn up and find our pitch is straggly.

I don’t think it's fair that you have named wardens who are unable to respond and, for that reason, I will get reporting your post. If you have a complaint, you should take it up with head office.

Already have reported it and there was no response.

Perhaps abusing customers when we were simply asking a question ?

Cumbria has an environmental policy that extends to sites. I am certain that the club will be following local plans. We have been there 7 times and the mowing with the last managers was minimal but appreciated and I hope Mark won't mind me saying so. It was well run then.

Hey by all means report me at my age by the time I get a response I will be 6 foot under.
