The domestic fridge worked for the first few days on site and now the freezer box is not cold enough to keep frozen food in. We have googled the problem but still not found the solution. Wondered if anyone has had the same problem and rectified it.

Could be many things - gas/electric supply, thermostat etc. I suggest you track down a mobile service engineer locally who should be able to diagnose & fix on site. They’re fairly simple appliances and access to the working bits is easy after removing the external vent panels.

I’m assuming auto correct has kicked in and altered Dometic. In our freezer compartment there is a temperature sensor attached to one of the vanes. When a similar one on our home fridge became detached, the fridge warmed up. Worth a check.

Otherwise if on electric, try it on gas and see if any improvement.

I would try it on gas. If this works you know your mains element is at fault.

Make sure nothing is obstructing the freezer fins. Is your fridge packed tightly? If so try and make room for air to circulate.

Update on Dometic fridge problem. We took the caravan into the caravan dealership and the technician said it was the heating element. Apparently no warning code or flashing triangle comes  up for this fault. It will take three weeks to get the part and fit it, but we can use the fridge on gas.

Glad you're getting it sorted Charlie .... but 3 weeks for a simple heater element?🤔  The caravan industry really does need a kick up the harris!

Are there none on eBay that you could get sooner? 🤷‍♂️

The elements are usually easily available on line, and quite easy to fit.

Fridge on gas eats through the gas very quickly.

Our one failed, quite a big fridge/freezer, when we were in the north of Norway, we had to use it on gas for 3 weeks till we got  home, it used a 6kg bottle in 14 days.

Very glad we had refillable gas bottles!

There are a huge number of elements available on e-Bay. Yet I could not find the exact match to the one which had failed on mine, so I got one with the same wattage and "adjusted" the leads.  Done and dusted in two days.

Generally speaking there are significant delays and shortages with many components coming from abroad.  Brexit and Covid have in many ways been a perfect storm.  I'm waiting for a part from Germany.  Pre Brexit and Covid it would have been delivered overnight but I have been told it will be 42 days plus.
