Glampings Pods and Lodges
As my adult son is a paraplegic, I was looking at the prices for a stay in a CMHC accessible lodge which are available on some sites. I think that they are very expensive in view of their size and facilities, compared with staying in lodges or static caravans (which are far larger and have 2 and sometimes 3 bedrooms) on commercial sites, even taking into account the 10% discount. I wonder what other members views are regarding the prices. A 4 night stay on 24th May is £439 minus the 10% discount.

I must admit I don't pay much attention to prices of static accommodation as, at yet, it's not something we would use. Over £100 a night does seem to be a bit expensive but I think you would have to compare with commercial offerings. I doubt the Club operates in a vacuum they must have based their prices on similar offerings elsewhere? I did once notice the price of a static caravan in the South of France which was €1000 a week in the peak season!!!!

I think some of us are still not aware todays prices ,and what people expect to pay,
When at FM we had four hired motor caravans on pitches near us ,all non members and very not sure of what to do, one thing they did appreciate over the help they were given by a couple of us
Was the fact of how very reasonable per night the fees were, and that was including the add non member per night fee

Vbfg, For comparison I just checked prices at Langstone Manor, Tavistock, Devon - a well regarded campsite. The late May bank holiday is not cheap but a four night stay in a six berth static caravan through June and up to mid July costs £265.

That is expensive, imo.
We recently stayed for 4 nights in a cottage. Both the bedrooms had walk in showers and one had a seat, wifi included, tv, cookers and microwave, bedding and towels included and full central heating for less than that in the Peak District.
I'd look for alternatives. It's only expensive if you think it is, if that makes sense.

May 24-27 is 'not' peak season. I bet the French one would be cheap as chips for those dates.
