Fendt Platin 700
Hi All,
This topic might have already been spoken about so I do apologies!
Toured a lot with my parents before flying the nest 10 years ago!
Now looking to get back into it myself with my misses and dogs, i am looking at a Fendt Platin 700, what is concerning me its the length for towing in the UK.
Does anyone else on here tow anything of a similar size with no issue?
The 8.5m length (including A frame) is giving me anxiety about getting stopped while towing.
Towing Vehicle is a Porsche Cayenne
Thanks in advance!

The max you can legally tow in UK with your Porsche would be a body length of 7 metres, drawbar is not counted, so take a tape along and measure it carefully.
Check out the various weights too.
When booking a pitch you will find there are length limits given for sites, so a longer than normal van can also limit choice of where you can stay

As Kj implies, a van of that length may present pitching problems on sites.
Be aware, too, that large continental vans are often targets for thieves.

Hi all,
I thinking about getting our first family caravan. We’ve got 3 kids so need a relatively big one. I’ve seen a 5/6 BERTH FENDT PLATIN 700 TWIN AXLE 2008/9, but am concerned it might be too big for some sites and also to tow.
I have a 2015 Merc Vito van, so figured it should be suitable but fear buying the van and not being able to legally tow it or getting turned away from sites due to its size.
Or, do I play it safe and go for a Bailey ranger 2009, 6 birth with triple bunk beds.
any advice appreciated!!
Thanks
