Wing mirror for VW Passat

Hi.  Has anyone fitted Milenco Aero Platinum Towing Mirrors to VW Passat 2016 to 2019.

The reason I ask is that the mirror glass is quite close to its surround and I am concerned about damaging the glass or surround.

    A rather older Passat but when I had a  2009 one the Milenco with 'J' accessory fitting was fine, I also use these on my 2019 Tiguan.  Why not go to a caravan accessory shop and ask them to try various types.

    Good advice from commeyras. I have a VW Touareg and found that the clamping pads are different for VW so that the rubber foot ridge comfortably fits into the mirror housing surround. Make sure you have the correct pads otherwise the mirror may fall off.
