It seems more of a cold weather problem ,with folks leaving engines running

,  On the other hand , it seems as noted here (West side site)When amongst many departures are numerous motor caravans, queueing to use the MC service point could be half hour or more, most are sitting with their engines running(to keep aircon going?) the most we have noticed here after last weekend BH was eight.in the queue,

We noticed today that the waste dump seemed not required, when they left as with the heavy rain ,some thought it quite OK to open their waste tap , as it would be diluted as they left their pitches, and it was not me that noticed but another member  when at the service when rain had stopped

Given the height of Motorhome windows, that might challenge even them.

I find if I don’t turn of the engine when I hook up or unhook certain electrical items don’t work correctly.

I suppose we all have our mental lists of clues for pitches to avoid......😂

We don’t do anything resembling baby or toddler toys, big TVs, (especially in the awning), tethered out madly barking dogs, big barbecues, suspicious amounts of alcohol, and big family/friend groups. All of these are perfectly fine if we are one end of the Site, and they are the other, we are reasonable......😂🤪

    Hi all,

Anyone on here use a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEW for towing? About to swap my Honda CRV 2.3?

you shouldn't judge by a stainless bowl etc. A few years back, after a few days on the pitch, a neighbouring  caravaner told me that he'd breathed a sigh of despair when yet another had arrived next door to him. But after a few days he'd realised Molly was as good as gold ... no barking at every passing fly 😎😎

What about bright flashing led lights, surely you must have some of those or at least a parrot by an open window?

Glad it has also been noticed,  ,I was wondering why I had not had a negative reply to my post from others as having another pop at motor caravan owners,  wink

Perhaps we rolled our eyes and thought "not again" as we recognised another deliberate bit of bait dangling.🙄

This is an interesting debate, let me add that at same op site I was surprised to see that even with the new drive over drains quite a few motorhome ri couldn’t get their aim right. Hope they do better at the toilet !

Surely if it's a drive over like the ones abroad you just need to position the van on the dump area and let the waste go, gravity should do the rest as the water runs into the drain.

I've never thought about occupants of an adjacent pitch. My criteria have been limited to the topographical suitability - not precipitous or located under trees. Apart from that any empty one will do.
