Hook up question

Need a little advice, Is it possible to move your motorhome with the hook up cable attached to the motorhome only so I can park it up against a wall and then connect to mains once parked

It will be virtually impossible to connect the cable once parked on my drive

Is this likely to cause any damage/problems?

No, as long as you don,t run over it in the process.

It's starting the engine with lekky connected that may cause problems. You'll be fine.

The only thing I would add is to make sure the cable can't get caught up as you are moving the van as that could cause damage to both the cable and the socket.

My Autosleepers has an interlock to prevent starting the engine with the cable attached but I don’t know whether this applies with the power disconnected. Can’t see any problem as long as the EHU lead is not connected to the mains.

At the risk of stating the obvious, use a RCD unit or plug at the supply end of the cable.
