Hi everyone,

During the apocalyptic weather over the last weekend we noticed that the rain was running down the side of the van despite the awning (Thule Omnistor) being open.

Being new to motorhoming, we wondered if this is normal or if there should be a seal between the awning housing and the van.

Anyone know?

Thanks

    Hi

If you look at Rose Awnings website (thule omnistor dealer) they have an epdm foam type adhesive strip you can install between awning and body. Simple and cheap fix. Be careful with your roll out awning in windy weather though, even with a storm strap it's not worth the risk of leaving it out.

If your motor caravan is new? and the awning was fitted as an after market addition then I would ,have thought the watertight strip that goes between the awning and body of your vehicle should have been fitted on installation. to ensure a good seal, ,it was when we had our Thule fitted to our caravan
