After a year of lockdown and not being able to use my caravan. I'm afraid cleaning has taken abit of a back seat. With things looking better this year for getting away i have spent several hours getting my Abbey back to a lovely clean condition.

My question is :-

Can anyone recommend a protective wax that i can apply to protect and make cleaning easier in the future.

Thanks David

On our old Abbey I always used the dry wash. Very rarely ever used it for cleaning, preferring soap and water, as there was less chance of scratching. However, used on a clean van it put a hard protective, very slippery shell over the bodywork. Accumulated dust washes off in heavy rain and the finish lasts for 6 month to a year. Makes the next wash a lot easier as black streaks are easily removed. Very quick and easy to apply.

That sounds just what i need. I am a bit confused by what you mean by dry wash. Is it the name of the product ?

The one I bought was called dry wash. I purchased several litres of it at a good price at one of the shows. I can’t find any reference to it on Amazon. However, if you type in dry car or caravan wash, it brings up several. This one looks similar to the one I purchased. It could well be the same product with a different name.

Thanks SteveL. Just been researching the Dry Wash and have ordered some from CAMC. Will give it a go at the weekend. Thanks.
