Swift challenger 2020 exterior door lock

Re the above subject. This caravan was a new purchase in Sept 2020. In December 2020 the exterior lock had to be replaced under warranty then lock down happened. Have used caravan this month  locked the door then travelled 20 miles stopped  at services checked the van and the door came open without unlocking it. Locked the door again travelled  to site checked door and it had come unlocked again. Now waiting for this to be resolved under warranty again with Grantham caravans. My question is has any other member at this happen with a Swift caravan and can it be a DIY fix any advice would be appreciated ot any follow member had the same problem. Thank you.

    Hi,

    I have a 2020 Swift Sprite, I am assuming it will have the same lock type as it is from the Swift group, I had heard that this had happened a couple of times before on different forums where locks required changing so with in mind as an added safety device as well I purchased a Fiamma door lock this fits neatly to the door frame and then securely locks over the door handle. They are easy to install and cost around £40.

    I know this does not remedy your current situation but it is added peace of mind when travelling that the door will not open as well as a deterrent.
