What you really meant when you closed this thread was that the Club got it totally wrong by not reading the Law correctly, but don't want to read criticism. The Law hasn't changed - but HMG advice (which is not legally enforcable) has clarified.
Moderator Comment - There was nothing wrong with the subject your original thread and moderators don't close threads because they may be uncomfortable for the Club, assuming such comments meet the forum T&C's. The reason your original thread was closed was because it had descended into dozens of pointless comments so the original point of the post had been lost. We then had the choice of deleting dozens of those posts which would have made the tread unreadable or closing the thread. The latter was decided upon, made easier because the announcement by the Club regarding toilet blocks and the very next day members would be making their way to sites.

I thought it was-some are open, some are not🤷🏻♂️. The law can state what it likes but the final decision is down to the site operators. That’ll be C&MC👍🏻

Which club?
It was clarrified by HMG last week to the cc as after it seems quite some "talking" that some shared facilitie could open with the appropriate social distancing in place but not showers or wash cubicles ,hence not all on this clubs network can be opened

Dear Mr Hudson
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you back onto our Club campsites in England very soon and are as excited as you are to start the 2021 touring season.
Ahead of your upcoming booking(s), we’d like to update you on the latest information regarding the situation with toilets, showers and other shared facilities (for campsites which have them) plus the new Test and Trace requirements.
Shared facilities - Great News
Based on the latest Government guidance issued 8 April, we are pleased to be able to open toilets and shared washing and cleaning facilities excluding showers at Club campsites in England which have them, when we reopen on 12 April.
We are working really hard to ensure as many campsites as possible can reopen these facilities on 12 April, however due to time constraints and operational issues not all campsites will have toilets and shared washing and cleaning facilities open on 12 April. Please continue to check our website, where we will publish a full list of campsites and what facilities are open very soon.
The current provisional date for reopening showers is 17 May 2021 dependent on further Government guidance.
