With just just over four weeks until the glorious 12th....I thought the club might be giving out, as with last year, information on structured arrival times...

Waking up this morning to the nightmare thought of myself, along with 100+ units, arriving at 13:00 hrs at Seacroft on the 12th....I asked the on line chat if this was being discussed at EG...The agent replied, after a consultation with his manager, that there was nothing known in the customer services centre regarding any structured arrival times..

Should be interesting at a few site gates..

They may yet do so - there is still over 4 weeks to go so plenty of time yet. My guess is This year will not be as busy, it is a weekday, earlier in the year and site facilities remain closed so i do not anticipate the same rush as last year.

I'm sure they will replicate last years way of working.

I actually received a phone call then, asking what time would I like to arrive..... perhaps each site will have their own method to cope!

Try arriving at 3 pm, with any luck it could be quieter.

At this time many sites staff are either furloughed or working very restricted hours,,as with "sheltering sites",and those with storage compounds,

    Evening

We are working full weekly hours as normal jv. Need to get the sites ship shape and ready. We might be furloughed at some point but at present it's flat out doing our thing. Did 12 hours yesterday as the sun was shining, today was painting reception as the wind and rain hurt me face!!

To the OP, I'd say that if the club don't put anything in place regarding arrival times then why not phone the site you're heading for a day or so before opening, they'll be able to advise a best time. I'm hoping to open around 10.00 if all goes well.

JK, do you know if people with seasonal pitch bookings will also be in the arrivals queue, or will they be allowed to arrive and leave their vans on pitches a few days prior to the 12th?

We don't have a seasonal pitch, but have noticed that in 'normal times' the seasonal pitch people are allowed on site before the official site opening date.  Clearly the sites won't be allowed to be open before the 12th, but will people be able to simply arrive and leave their vans do you know?

If not, I can imagine major chaos on the 12th with seasonals and tourers arriving on the same day!

    Evening

Seasonal pitch holders will arrive on opening day the same as tourers.

We haven't had comms from HO yet regarding open day arrivals but I'm expecting we'll be pretty much organised like last year. Watch this spacewink

I can't ever remember arriving at a site early enough to have to queue to be let in!  😃😃  if we arrive before 4pm, it's bordering on a miracle!!  😃😃

Just had a phone call from the site warden to ask what time we'd like to arrive on the 12th laughing  Arrivals are from 9 am on our particular site.  We were allocated a pitch (based on our preference) then prepaid for our stay.  All very easy, and no need to go into reception at all!

Which site are you staying on 12 April? We are staying at Broadway and we have not heard yet what the arrival system will be.

I was just wondering the same thing. We are staying on Wyatts Covert for 3 nights starting the 12th, and are travelling down late Sunday night as we are travelling from the North West and want to get pitched as early as possible.

Any recommendations of where to stay on the Sunday night as restrictions are still going to be in place? Motorway services?

No sites are open until 12th and we're not supposed to stay away from home overnight until 12th so best make sure it's gone midnight when you park up.

Alternatively, why not leave home in the early hours and go straight through?
