Car hire in Cornwall

We have a Cornish tour booked in June (fingers crossed). We prefer to leave the motor home on site once we are settled so we would like to hire a car to be able to get to lots of smaller places that aren't served by buses. Can anyone suggest car hire firms, preferably delivered to the site? We need a car at Trewethett Club Site in Tintagel and Gwithian Farm Site in Hayle. Any help would be great.

    Not sure if they deliver, but Merlin Vehicle Rental are a reputable local independent company. Enterprise deliver I think.

    Try an internet search as there are plenty who hire out cars in Cornwall, including Enterprise who give discount to club members.

    Enterprise Car Hire have a depot in Bodmin and a phone call to them will tell you whether they deliver and collect from Trewethett site. Another possibility for your stay there is Launceston Car Hire - they have a depot at Bude as well as in Launceston - again you will need to talk to them. 

    Others will know more about the Gwithian area than I do - you may need to look at companies in Penzance. Google will assist you.

    I used a company in Penzance on a regular basis, but can’t seem to find it at the moment. It wasn’t one of the larger franchise ones. It might well have been Tuckers, a family run independent business. Never had a problem, decent cars, good size for what we needed, always clean and reliable. They used to meet us at Penzance Station off the train. Consider careful insurance against bumps and scratches, some of the lanes, walls and visitors are unforgiving down there. 
    Enterprise with the discount sounds good.

    How many drivers are there?

    I ask as one possibility is to pick up a car, say as you come into Cornwall at Launceston, keep it for the time you are here and drop off on way home.

    Would save on delivery charges and possibly be cheaper than two separate 'hires'.
