Hi,

We are looking to downsize now the kids are all grown up. We want a 6m as it will fit on the driveway, but want plenty of living space so drop down beds are the way to go. Our question is do any of the beds drop all the way down to normal bed height? We are getting to long in the tooth to be climbing up and down ladders.

Thanks

Have a look at the latest from the Bailey stable based on the Ford base vehicle and Auto gearboxes are standard  they have drop down beds

I’m fairly sure one of the Knaus Boxlife 600 configurations includes a hand operated lifting bed - 600DQ? Personally I like the transverse rear bed arrangement which gives you a lot of storage underneath and adequate living space in the dinette incorporating the two cab seats on swivels. No need to do ladders, just a single step.

Have a look at the Roller Team T90.

The bed doesn't come down completely but does come low enough to allow you to use a caravan step to  get in and out easily enough.

Hi Phil N Pat, we also have a T590, parked neatly on our drive, one bit of advice which we took was remove the fixed table and use a flexi option, increases the living space, we looked at lots of variants the nearest was the Benimar range, a very close second, slightly more ££ but Ford cab and more power. Happy with the Roller Team.
