Some people aren't happy about towing on Motorways, others on A roads so you've got plenty of alternatives here.Â
Just to add another. As you are from Mid Glamorgan then you'll be initially heading east to join up with either the M5 or you may head North East to join the A49 near Hereford. If you do the A49 then that route is fairly good for towing, all the way to Chester. We've taken it going south from North Wales to Newport area. You could then break the journey at either Chirk or Chester club sites.. There is a CCC site just after Shrewsbury en route to Oswestry.Â
Now you've just stated The Lakes. It could be the south or the North.
If you going to the north and Keswick area then that last 40 miles or so from Kendal can be tiring after a long journey if doing it all in one.
Again, no-one know how much time you have allocated to this holiday and whether or not you can break it up.
Quickest way will probably be the motorway route but not the shortest.
If you want more information then ask away. Someone on here will respond.

We have done Tewkesbury CAMC to our house north of Glasgow on a good day (a Sunday) in one , with a couple stops of course, but that is virtually all motorway or dual carriageway.
These days we usually stick to a max of 200-250 miles in one day, depending on the roads, often doing much less. Â Our first and last days are usually the longest hops.
