2021 site price guide

Looks like it might not be available yet. On this page under UK sites, useful information, there is only the one option given under view site prices on the bottom right. That is to look on search and book.
I assume as it says you can view them in many ways a link may appear here in due course.
In the shop under club products, you can order a hard copy of the pricing guide (free). However, at the moment it is last years.

So it's little more use than the old Directory. Perhaps if they left the extraneous waffle out, there might be room for a price list. I suppose it has become impractical because they adjust the prices over so many different periods during the year. I could be even more cynical and say it's because they want the flexibility to increase prices at any time.
Less effort on fancy fonts and more focus on useability is required.

With the "complaints" about out of date prices in the last site directory, which as the latest ,would have been put together and printed some months earlier in the year preceding the date of the Directory,it could be a better idea to have a yearly 2021 and 2022 downloadable /or hard copy (available postage free from the club shop?)of the site prices if needed? but when going on line to look at the sites of interest for a visit, the prices are also on those pages,

The prices are "FROM" which gives little indication of reality. Should you buy from M&S if the clothes racks had a label on saying "from" so that you didn't find out the actual price of any particular garment until you got to the checkout? CAMC seem to have developed obscurantism into an art form.

It's now a month since I raised this issue and still no sign of the price guide promised in the site directory.

Have you contacted HO to ask when they intend publishing the info, or even if they are going to do so?

I've just fired the following text off to the Sites Booking Service. It will be interesting to see the response.
"Whilst I have received my Sites Handbook for 2021, apart from a general indication of Club Site prices stated as “From….” , I am unable to properly price the cost of a stay in any given period. I have searched the website to no avail in an endeavour to locate a “Sites price list”. Can you supply this essential piece of information or shall I not bother booking any club sites?
In its present format, the Sites Guide has all the utility of the proverbial chocolate teapot."

Erm........as far as I can see, all the prices for 2021, and indeed up to April 2022 are online. Not a list of prices all in one place, but the full list of dates and prices is available under each named Site.
According to many on here, the handbook is simply thrown away unopened, useless, not required, immediately out of date.
I would suggest the easiest option is simply to use handbook as a Site guide, then look up Site prices on line, and then using automated booking system will give you the actual price you will pay, for the date period desired. Pre April 2021, it will even re calculate the VAT for you.
Failing that, copy the price list for each Site, paste into your own document, and either save or print🤷♀️
Those without technology of any kind, other than a simple phone, can phone the Site direct to check prices, and let Wardens book for them?

Wow sounds more complicated than booking a site many thousands of miles away in some distant land, thankfully i seldom use club sites, i think the last was Hill Head many years ago, only because it had a pool and we were in that particular area
I used to plan satellite links many years ago using logarithms, that now looks easy

I was merely giving examples of how to self help for those without technology, or limited technology.
If I want to stop on a Club Site (rare, but we do occasionally) it’s around three clicks of a button. But no ferries or tunnels involved of course...... That would be a few more clicks.....😁

Yes i guess if you do it often enough it becomes Easy, i used to plan satellite links using satellites some 22k miles away, today normally plan routes for our time away but OH normally takes care of booking sites, cant say that i have ever looked in the sites directory.

I have booked several pitches for this year. It's just a shock when the price comes up at the end of the process. CMC said there would be a price list on the web site and it does not appear to be there. It would be good to be able to see at a glance which sites in a particular area offered the best value for money before making a booking.

It may well be there was insufficient demand for the booklet last year to make it worthwhile this. Just putting it together as a PDF takes some effort, even if you don’t go to the expense of printing and posting.
However, if they did just produce the PDF copy it would give the option of using it offline, on a pad or phone, which is not possible with the web site.

If you know where you want to stay it then comes down to whether the asking price is acceptable to you? I don't quite know what you would do next? Would you bite the bullet or look for a different option? It maybe just me but I can't see a separate price list being much use to me personally. As some others may recall I am all for having information in .PDF format from price lists to site directories

I still can’t see what all the fuss is about to be honest. Let’s say you want to compare two Sites in Cornwall for same weeks, see which is cheapest. You just go to webpage for both, look at price for that period, do a little sum, and then make a decision🤷♀️
Or is there something I am missing here, happy to be corrected🤔

Ideally the price bands would be on the page with the site information, as it used to be in the "good old days". It was relatively quick and easy to price a potential stay.
The fact that the bean counters at Grimstead Towers have multiplied the bands away from a straightforward high, mid, low in an endeavour to squeeze until the pips squeak, makes such an exercise a task of some magnitude and each site would require about three pages, and we are left with a useless "From £x" which tells us nothing.

Having tried to find the price of a stay at the centenary site last week I am not sure its a lot easier-but at least you are into the lingo for distances measured in kilometres!

I await the comments from people before seeing that you are a MHer!

Tut tut, should not be saying that. Wait til the MHers see it.....................oh, you are a MHer!!

Not sure that is relevant with regard to this topic as I just picked a site web page to show that price bands are on the first page.
With regard to the site itself however we stay for 15 nights (not this year) and have done from mid to end of December for around 10 years. For us the location is fine for winter chill out and to spend time together. Not there much in daylight. We stay on the old side of the site with its hedges and bird life. The new part of he site is n open wilderness with no hedges or interest and winter does at least bring some seagulls and the occasional ducks swimming on the flooded pitches.

I emailed CMC asking for a price list , the reply was
Thank you for your email.
Because of changes to the VAT rate, the Commercial team has asked us not to produce a pricing supplement at this time, this may change after lock down if the demand is there.
You can view current Club site fees Online, using https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/ uk-holidays/uk-search-and- book/
for a complete price breakdown per site.
I really want a price list , but then you had to order one, now they are waiting to see what the demand is, so please email them and ask for a price book if that is what you want

Seems logical to me joanie 👍

Joanie you have just triggered a memory. It is illegal for a seller to quote a price to a member of the public that does not include the applicable VAT. As usual certain exception are there but equally it is illegal to quote a price that includes the wrong VAT percentage. I wonder what VAT percentage is included in the prices currently being quoted on the CAMC website.
