we have been to Hawes before but always front the Eastern side. We have now moved home and want to go again but are concerned about leaving the site as the way out would be through the town. Has anyone got the answer?

I'm not sure what your actual question is but leaving the site and driving through the town doesn't pose any particular problems.  Just like any other village or small town, take care.

For goodness sakes, don’t confuse the OP🤷‍♀️

As Jill says, it’s not difficult. The A684 forms a one way traffic loop around the main part of the town, so you won’t meet anything coming towards you on the narrowest part, which is not that narrow. The bridge over the falls is the pinch point, but nothing to worry about. Just check on Google maps so that as you leave the Site, you know to go across the A684 to pick up the one way loop going west bound.
It’s all the A684, east or west bound, just a one way loop through the town.

    Have a nice stay👍

To reassure the OP, towing through the town from the site is no problem , just watch out for pedestrians walking in the road on the bridge at the falls . We came across a chap standing in the middle of the road taking photos, but just waited till he had finished, after all we’re all on holiday cool

Thank you! Yes I am quite aware of the town itself so know that the road over the bridge is narrow.  I just thought I woild like clarification before I go.... if other people had found it difficult I may well have looked for a different route....... forewarned is forearmed!
