Why Does Easter last 18 days with CAMC?

I expect so yes
Funnily enough Italians have begun to actually use our word snob in their everyday language, but they pronounce it as two distinct syllables with an extra b sound, sort of snob-b.

No there aren't in the area I was referring to. That was the whole point.
I normally find myself on a CL if there is one in the area. This area has 2, one of which is unsuitable as I've been there and the other adds about 20 miles a day travelling. There is no Commercial Site available to me to use either as I would use it.
I'm trying to stay local as I suspect that vaccines may be needed for one of the three of us around that time and it's really only a short getaway to give the caravan a run out. It may be the only time we can get out in it (circumstances prevailing) before our supposed Summer break.
I'll go somewhere else but the price of the club site for the second week after Easter is shocking. Yes, I can afford it but I'm not going to as I do not consider it value for money.

We have been on both Les Medes and Aquarius, obviously in different years, and Aquarius continued the Easter prices for the week after mainly as it's used by foreign tourists but Les Medes had a large Spanish contingent and they stayed for the Sunday parades. Most were the younger brigade as well.

Can I just remind folks that this is the UK Sites and Touring Section.
Thanks.

Has anyone out there (Nellie) got a really old price guide book from say 10 years ago.? Just interested to see if the 18 day stretch was in existence then.
I hope the club can fill the sites from 11th.to 18th.April as otherwise they will be losing bookings and money from people like myself.

I've found a 2005 and peak was from 24th - 30th March. Easter Sunday was the 27th.

A pitch fee in peak was mainly between £7-8, adult £5, Places like Hillhead were £9 pitch fee.

Different indeed. Look at Christmas, a mere 4 days at peak. I suspect more folks go away at Christmas now though.

By 2017 the peak dates were 31st March to 17 April

yes and in 1999, Christmas wasn't even peak, it was in fact the lowest price band.

When we occasionally went away in Christmas week when we were working in mid 1990s the sites were always full for that week to 2nd.January but I do remember Easter peak period being just the main days of Easter itself.
It won't just be a one off for this year either. Whenever firms put prices up it doesn't often come down.
Edit - Thanks CS for the input.

Busy sites, Bank holiday traffic, high prices = stay at home and relax till the week after for me

It doesn't help that schools, or academies, have differing holidays surrounding Easter. Newcastle and Sunderland schools are at odds again this year giving a three holiday window. If that is replicated around the country, and near to where you're going, it could be why the club has chosen to extend the peak periods?

Easter is a "moveable" feast which causes the constant moving of holidays in certain parts of the country where they try to include Easter. In Scotland they have Easter and they also have a holiday break depending on the dates, sometimes the two come together but not always.
CAMC is operating a catch all policy.

Why would anyone book a holiday this easter anyway?
lets face it, if the caravan club took site fees up front they would have no money in the kitty as clearly these severe restrictions are going to be with us until at least May or June.Yes the uk holiday industry has always hiked its prices to match school holidays, wether its here in a caravan or sitting on a beach on the Algarve. Forget easter holidays... it’s always bloody cold and wet anyway😂
