We really do need a smile right now! Found this, I know we shouldn't laugh at the misfortunes of others but I'm sure we need a bit of light relief from the serious side of life right now and I'm sure the person in question won't mind.

I wonder if the event could be resurrected this coming year to remind us of our wonderful pastime, might be much needed.
Happy Christmas everyone and let's hope for a more prosperous and New Year.

Best wishes all round and I guess we're all hoping for the same thing this year.

But, Micky, I so wish you'd left that memory interred where it belonged. It has to be one of the worst shoot yourself in the foot moments ever😤😤. As for another series.....aghhhhh😖😖😖😖

I loved it, TW. It's a sad day when folk can't see the funny and zany side of life, as they say, no one died. It takes all sorts and thankfully our much loved pastime is a place for all. I do hope for better times ahead. Slapstick is not the most cerebral form of comedy but it is funny non the less. Simple and true!😄

There are much better examples of humour which do not make 'our much loved pastime' look ridiculous, Micky. It sure does take all sorts but let's leave it there in the spirit of goodwill.👍🏻

Caravanning and camping has certainly provided us with a married lifetime of enjoyment, we have some nice friends made during our travels, and it’s certainly given us some very funny memorable moments. When the fun stops, I guess we will move onto something else, but for the foreseeable future we are committed. Must be, I booked a Club Site last night!😂

Thanks for bringing that to my attention.  I now understand that the culprit (I can think of more appropriate words but have refrained from printing them) was, or is in fact a senior and experienced member of CAMC.  Priceless laughinglaughinglaughing.

It must be the magic of Christmas but I completely agreesmile

Even when it we (I) state that holidays are 'cheaper' they will say but how much did you spend on your car and caravan in the first place?

On the surface it doesn't make sense but there is some magic about being away from home sitting in your caravan (or MH) that just attracts me and I enjoy it. Maybe it is the flexibility or independence but with me it's more than that.

R.I.P. to all blokes in tier 4 that were leaving their present shopping until Xmas Eve.  I hope your wives like 'essential' presents.

Wives be please be kind.  The NHS is overworked already.

I see they have located the GPS - like brain cells that store maps of the places we have been and may have left our car keys.  I just wish they had found the one that would trace my lost sock laughing

    Just a little warning.

Be extra careful on the roads over even this shortened Xmas period.  A lot of men will be drinking and getting their wives to drive winklaughing.

Is that so they don't loose their licence if the wife has been drinking as well? I'm taking it in that vein rather than an insulting way 😉

NO ONE SHOULD DRINK AND DRIVE  😤😢

I think most of us have had an incident when we wished we could turn back the clock and undo an unfortunate glitch.  We once met a fellow Brit in France, who had tried to take his outfit through a supermarket filling station, resulting in badly mangling his caravan against the high concrete kerbing that is usual at these facilities.

Our own crisis came in 2011 when manoeuvring in a very congested M-way vehicle park.  As I was moving very closely past a stationary outfit, my caravan wheel dropped into a localised deep recess in the ground, the soft suspension of the van allowing it to sway towards the other outfit.  Natural flimsiness of caravans plus momentary friction between our two caravans did the rest.

My own caravan insurance covered our caravan, but the third party’s repairs were charged against my car insurance because my caravan was still under tow.  Which resulted in my only fault claim during the 67 years that I have been driving.  Boohoo!cry

Don't usually watch TV during the day, but it's pouring down here and Casablanca has just come on. I've got the DVD but this will save me having to "play it again"! laughing
