2020 Swift Challenger 580

Hope someone with a late Challenger 580 can help -

Is the supplied spare wheel under the fixed bed or on an Alko spare wheel carrier?

Will the LED road lights cause an issue with my 2017 SEL Tiguan (latest shape)?

Any help appreciated

    I have a 2019 and the spare wheel is fixed under the bed. Previously had a 2012 Challenger Sport 584 which had the Alko carrier but as many people have done, this was removed and the wheel fitted under the bed. With regards to the lights, sorry cannot help.

    Thanks Hoddy, that confirms what I had read in a 2018 Practical Caravan review

    Since posting, I found on another forum, someone with a 2020 Challenger, saying theirs was in the front locker (and they were struggling to remove it, due to the gas strut bracket?)

    Personnal choice, but I would prefer it on the Alko carrier rather than  taking the space under the bed. Mayday or Red Pennant can get it out if required, but in 40 yrs caravanning, no punctures in transit to date (touching lots of wood whilst saying it)

    I would suggest visiting a swift dealer and connecting your car and check if all the road lights work. Did this with mine before i commited to buying.

    I have a 2019 Swift Challenger 560. Spare wheel was under the bed but I had the dealer put it on a carrier under the floor. As for the LED road lights I told my towbar fitter it had these LED. lights and he said he just needed to fit a different relay.

    Thanks everyone. Going to dealers asap, just wanted 'real world' information, in case salesman suggest otherwise.

    Hi, I have a 2019 swift only a 2 berth so spare is in the front locker, sorry this bit not much help I know.

    I tow with a 2014 Tiguan SE with factory fitted tow bar and have had no issue`s with the LED lights on the caravan they work fine with my cars electrical system.

    Would defo try plugging in at the dealers tho for peace of mind.

    We have a MK2 Tiguan and no problem with led lights. Our tow bar was fitted after sales and I specified "dedicated wiring".

    We have a 2019 Challenger 580. TBH, I’d not considered the LED lighting. We tow with a Kuga with factory fitted towbar, and haven’t (so far) had any issues.
