Rotting floor

does the Baily Alu tech system make rotting floors more likely ?

My Baily had a floor repair after 4 years another 4 years later and the problem is worse than before

    ....don't know the answer, but no problem with our floor..... so far (2016 van)   The sooner Bailey can come up with a 'rot-free' type floor the better.  Perhaps then would be the time for me to get a new van..   ?  smile

    We have a Bailey alutec and the floor has not shown any problems in the 5yrs we have had it when serviced

    I take by your OP that your Bailey is one of the early models which had problems with water ingress via the faulty grab handles into the front lockers?

    you need to go for a swift elegance David as they use a composit floor either side of a water/damp proof foam.

    Our Alutech had damp floors and went back to Bailey’s factory twice. It was an early first series Unicorn which suffered quality control problems from poor sealing between wooden floor and side walls. My advice - sorry, but get rid of it and cut your losses. We traded ours in and subsequently heard from the new owners (long story) - more damp and a bill for £5000.
