Visitors to CAMC Club Site?
We are, COVID permitting, heading down to Brighton Caravan Club site week after next. I don't want to ring them to ask the question as I know after having visited other sites last month CAMC staff are working flat out. So I was hoping someone on here may have visited the site recently and able to answer my question.
We visited a couple of Club sites last month and I noticed at both sites there were notices saying you were not allowed to have visitors on site. As it didn't bother us I didn't think anything more of it. However when we go down to Brighton I was hoping to meet up with my brother who lives on his own and wondered whether the restrictions I saw at the sites up north apply down in Brighton?

It certainly applied at all 9 sites we visited in September. As far as I know it is all sites, as the CC need to know who was on site when for track and trace. There is nothing to stop you paying for him as an addition on the days he comes and then he would be officially booked in. He could even stop the night.

Can we invite visitors on sites?
We are not currently allowing visitors on-site to meet with other guests. We’re sure that you will understand that this could increase the social distancing burden on staff and other guests during this particular time. In addition, it will create difficulties in being able to provide track and trace data if required. We ask that you arrange to meet any visitors at an offsite location.0 -
Hi it does apply to the club sites I’m afraid. We were on one of our local club sites a few weeks ago and my sister came down for the day but she wasn’t allowed on site we had to meet her in the town I did ask the wardens the question and was told no visitors on site

Can some one explain why visitors are not allowed on site but people staying on sites are allowed to mix with others that are staying on different pitches, I,m currently on a site and two separate caravaners near by have been backwards and forwards to each other’s vans all week , and across the site there are a couple of different set ups having get together as I,m writing this?

It's not really the wardens job to police Covid mixing regulations. However, they are required to know who was on site when, for track and trace. This would be very difficult if visitors were permitted. They don't always report to reception.

No visitors on club sites is to try to restrict the amount of people that will add to the problems of social distancing and as laid out i would think in the information available from the site you are on ,as for those on site not adhering to HMGs advise/instructions it is their actions that are not helping control this virus and ,not down to site staff to police it
As with those not wearing face masks in communal areas or adhering to the max amount of people useing the facilities at one time ,it is them who think it does not apply to me

Barring visitors is not really about numbers but, as Steve explained, is about the club knowing who is on site. JK spelled it out for us very clearly back along in saying visitors represent an unknown and untraceable presence on site as they tend to wander in at will.

It has nothing at all to do with numbers on site, as Tinwheeler states above. It's all about traceability as I've stated before (cheers tw).
We still get some folks taking visitors on site. No matter what signage or instruction you give to folks seems to make a blind bit of difference. We can't police it but it is so frustrating the attitude of some.
In my opinion, until the people running this country stop saying pretty please we will continue to have increasing waves of this virus.

Hope you manage a get together, we recently met our son and family in the NE out on the local cliffs, we couldn't meet indoors or in their garden so we braved the blustery weather on the coast, two days running! Much depends on the rules in force in local areas, which unfortunately seem to be changing on a rapid basis. Hope you all keep safe and well.
