The pump switch on the panel can be left on and the pump should not be run continuously for more than 15 minutes.

Ok ,so I can leave the switch on, what I’m not understanding is how do I know I’m running the pump.?? Do you mean not using the shower or taps for more than 15 minutes? .

    many thanks

Ignore the bit that says 15 minutes as you are getting confused! When using the caravan.....Fill your water container...drop the pump into the water and then connect the other end to the caravan inlet.Go into the caravan and turn the pump on at the switch.....open the kitchen tap on the hot side and leave open until the water is flowing properly then open the tap on the cold side and do the same,,,close the tap.repeat this in the bathroom. Now your pump will only run when you open a tap as long as the pressure switch is correctly adjusted!Do you know how to drain the system when not in use?do you know how to adjust the pressure switch?do you have a handbook?

    Hi Lau 007,

"Do you mean not using the shower or taps for more than 15 minutes?"

Yes that is exactly what it means although you are unlikely to want to run it continuously for more than 15 minutes anyway.

Regarding the pump I am not familiar with Lunar but there will probably be an LED to indicate that the pump is running, not sure if the small LED on the pump switch indicates that the switch is on or that the pump is running.

Personally I would not leave the pump switched on if leaving the van for a trip out, its just your luck to have a leak, I usually switch off the pump and release any pressure by filling a kettle.

I have a 2015 Lunar Quasar. Have you found the pressure switch yet? It should be under the bunk near the water inlet. It has a knurled knob on the top. If it is turned too far one way the pump will run continually after the tap is tuned off and eventually die. If it is turned too far the other way the pump will not come on at all. It can be quite a fiddle to set it just right. If you store anything under that bunk, it can turn the knob whilst you are in transit, so be careful. The only way I can tell if the pump is still running after the tap is turned off is to open the window and listen. I think it is a good idea to switch the pump off at the control panel if you are going to be away for any length of time. On some caravans the led by the switch on the control panel only comes on when the pump is actually running. On my Lunar it is on all the time the switch is on.
