Hi all,

We were at Black Knowl 18 - 21 Sep on pitch 80, near the toilet/shower block and my pride and joy Swarovski bino’s developed legs.      This is a warning, because if any of you are like me, who thought it was safe to leave things like cameras, mobiles and bino’s lying around, this is not the case anymore.      We are birdwatchers and use them a lot and sometimes leave them on the coffee table.      We never left the site the day they went missing and they were not handed into reception as lost and found!     I do have a spare bino’s case now if anyone needs one!

So be warned, times are changing, don’t leave any valuables lying around on your pitch.

Sad news indeed, K surprised  but can you now justify some NL Pure 12 x 42 purely as a pre Christmas present  of course money-mouthmoney-mouthmoney-mouth   ??

Seriously tho' Bill  my bin's, cameras etc have strong leather straps & they are hung round my neck even if I'm eating something messy cos I can always drape a hanky / tissue over them even if I've not got the proper lens caps to hand.  I must admit I'd rather give them away than have them stolen.

That’s pretty grim, KB. I’d be really upset if mine were stolen, especially as they were a present for a “special“ birthday.

ABM, if Santa is loading Swaros onto his sleigh next Christmas, I’ll have a pair of Pure 10 x 42s please. 🙂

    Also a birdwatcher 🦆

    Hi ABM & Pliers,

My missing bino’s we’re also a present for my 70th, they were EL 8.5 x 42’s.     As my insurer rang me at 5pm today to tell me he was transferring the money into my bank, only 48 hours after I made the claim.    Pretty good service.     Maybe I will have to review the NL’s!  I have not looked at them before.     And the next pair will stay around my neck.
