Can anyone at the Club determine when the draw for seasonal pitches will be published?

Thank you.

The ballot will take place on 23 September 2020. If the pitch is available, we’ll send you confirmation by email (or by post if we don’t have your email address) by 25 September 2020.

Interested if anyone has had a response from draw as I have not had anything and now wondering if to look for other options.

I’m in the same position as you. I thought we would have heard by now particularly as the Club has my email address.

I think, sadly, that they only contact you if you are successful?

I can’t believe that could be correct. Surely all applicants deserve to be told one way or the other. The concept that unsuccessful applicants don’t hear anything at all is just not acceptable.

I believe that  we are all waiting to hear whether successful or not.

    Regards.

Well perhaps but you would have heard by now if this is true:

    • If you have been randomly selected in the ballot we
will email you and let you know by Friday 25
    September 2020.

If your chosen site is fully booked, we’ll let you know as quickly as possible, and we’ll hold your details on a waiting list. If a pitch becomes
available at a later date due to a cancellation, and we have
more than one application on the waiting list, we’ll select a
form at random, giving priority to any received on or before
    Wednesday 23 September 2020

In previous years those that didn't get a pitch were not told but perhaps different this year? Hope it works out for you and perhaps tomorrow you'll know?

It would appear that you are correct. So, those who are successful are told, obviously. Those who are unsuccessful are just bypassed or dismissed. What awful customer relations!

A better way to do this would be to inform people yes or no. What could be easier or more customer minded?

Sadly, for me, this was a make or break year. Following the loss of my wife I thought I would try a seasonal pitch in an area that we both enjoyed many happy times. I think, now, that I'll put my caravan up for sale and end 40 years of caravaning. I suppose it happens to us all at some time.

I agree, I never have been a follower of that approach as well.

It is very sad to read your last paragraph and I'm so sorry. Perhaps wait a while to see if you still feel the same way and then make the choice?

Countax, may I suggest trying sites other than the club for a seasonal pitch? Many privately owned sites offer them.

    My condolences as well.
