Mover activating alko ATC
Has anyone ever come across a problem with an all wheel drive mover causing the alko ATC to activate and bring on the brakes. How can the ATC be disconnected while using the mover. Any ideas would be very welcome.

If you are using the mover then surely the van is disconnected from the car so there shouldn't be any power to the ATC. On my van the ATC powers up when you connect the towbar electrics and you can hear it go through the self test sequence and disconnects when you unplug. If you have power to the ATC when unplugged from the car there is something wrong with your wiring.

That sounds logical but so far the powertouch people have not ruled the likelihood that the mover is reacting with the ATC the suggestion of a wiring problem might be nearer to the point. They are still trying to sort the problem for me that is why I decided to ask the members if they ever had a similar experience. Thanks for your input.

Nearest problem I`ve had is the ATC "Firing up" when the battery charger was switched on (N0 car hitched) that was a wiring problem When we refer to wiring problems these days we really mean incorrect plugs and sockets problem most of these wiring looms are a bit like plug and play one false move and all hell breaks out.

I thought the changeover switch for the mover should disconnect everything else form the 12v supply.

Thanks to all for the input. Problem resolved. It turned out to be a faulty mover motor which caused the system to shut down and act as a brake on one axle.

OK. So nothing to do with the ATC.
