Water inlet damaged
We have a rather ancient Bailey Ranger 460/2 of 1998 vintage. When we arrived on site last week we found that the water inlet had been damaged at some point (I suspect that the whole thing has become brittle with age and we need a replacement.
I have not as yet been able to find a replacement for it. It has an integral filter but I am not to bothered about that. I can make other arrangements to ensure that we don't get bits in the water. I have added a couple of photos.
Can anyone suggest a good place to look?
IN hopes.

Has it got a name on it, or a part number? It might be a Carver. I should have thought that most caravan spares outlets will be able to help if you provide as much detail as you can. Some spares are not hard to replace, you might even find a helpful YouTube video. A dealer might want more for the part than an independent spares place. Your van is a baby compared with our 1984 job, but there’s not much we can’t find, or modify. Good luck.🙂

You may wish to try caravan breakers who may also be able to help you

Any use? The dimensions are quoted.

It might be worth a phone call.

Is it possible to change it to a more modern inlet? The Truma Ultraflow springs to mind but you need to check if it is compatible and that the existing cut out is not too large!
Edit. Just noticed that this is what Timwheller is eluding too

I am somewhat taken with the idea of a new style but they are all rather smaller than the Truma that I have at the moment. However, if necessary I will pop rivet a sheet of aluminium over the original hole. I hope that it won't come to that though.

Get the Whale part that links from the caravan to the Aquaroll it is slightly cheaper and much better quality than Truma's. Whale make one compatible with the Truma Ultraflow, if that is what you are getting; I forget the Part Number but it will be in the advert you see, just Google it!
