Help! South Cornwall
Hi, I'm looking for a CL site in South Cornwall that has additional accommodations on site. This is so another family member can enjoy a holiday with us. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Debbie, although I don't know of one I'd suggest that you join the Facebook CL Bookings page and put your request there. I'm sure that there will be plenty of suggestions forthcoming from members and CL owners.

What do you mean by South Cornwall? It’s a big county, so if you could be a little more specific, might be able to help👍 Lands End, Lizard, Roseland area, Looe/Fowey area? For example.

Good point. To me, South Cornwall means the south coast, while the narrow bit from Redruth way onwards is West Cornwall. The inland bit around Bodmin is Mid Cornwall while the north coast is North Cornwall and the Liskeard, Looe area and eastwards is East Cornwall. Others may have different ideas. 🤷🏻♂️

We know of a superb little campsite, holiday lodge site at Marazion. We haven’t stayed (friends have) but we have used both the pool and the laundry facilities on site a few times. It’s called Wheal Rodney, and is located on the outskirts of beautiful Marazion. We wouldn’t hesitate to book a stay here, it’s simply lovely.

Only other CL I can think of at moment that has a cottage as well as pitches is Chycarne Farm, not far from Helston.

As has been said it depends where you have in mind, but one of my sons recommends Poldown Caravan and Camping near Helston. Is that too far west for you?
It's the size of a CL with just five touring pitches but is not a Club CL restricted to members only. There are in addition nine static caravans pitched separately from the touring pitches for the other accommodation you are asking for.
Details and prices are on the Poldown website and warm reviews are on UKCampsite.co.uk

Thousands of folks do survive away from Club Land JV, especially in campers and MHs😉

Just adviseing of what some would consider ,by what is posted ,not tourer friendly
i agree as we have had both and done other than clubs sites (beginning of this month last time)
It also seems that many motor caravans and campers are use the same as caravans

Thanks everyone for your input. Its hard to narrow location as I am probably going more by the site as a priority over location but by South I am meaning the southern coastline from Looe to Lands end.

Are you saying people use MHs in the same way as caravans, JV? Have you mentioned it before somewhere? 🤣🤣🤣
Anyway, back to the question. I suggest Debbie widens her search from CLs and takes a look at the UK Campsite website for ideas.
One site that springs to mind us East Crinnis which I know nothing about other than they take tourers and have self catering accommodation. Several sites between St Austell and Pentewan/Mevagissey also do both.
PS. Just seen your post, Debbie. You've a wide choice along the South Coast, including those I mentioned, but not necessarily CLs.

How well do you get on with your other family member? Do you actually need a campsite with extra accommodation?
When we go away with others in the family who have no caravan or Motorhome we simply share a holiday house with them - so far the group size doing that has ranged from 4 of us to 14 - and no deaths so far.

Thanks for clarifying Debbie, that is indeed a good bit to go at, and like TW suggests, I would widen your search beyond CLs, Cornwall has some lovely private and independent sites, with all sorts of alternative provision. We have seen glamping pods, yurts, gypsy caravans, B&B, cottages, chalets, tree houses, etc... sharing space with caravan pitches. UKcampsites allows far easier selection of sites with such than on here.
In fact, maybe time for Club to take a serious look at search engine for CLs? Get focus away from fishing and concentrate more on things more Members likely to want and need? Could happen within a decade.....🤣

The costs of a large or even a medium sized holiday home in Cornwall will outstrip average site prices won't it?
I think there is s CL in St Buryan with B&B attached. As said, due to lack of a search symbol for ancillary accommodation it means a trawl through places in each area.
