Just made a booking for a weekend but the only availability was for a service pitch.

What is the maximum distance between the fresh water and grey waste connections to the caravan I need to allow for

Thanks

It depends upon the site, for fresh water it is usually at one corner of the pitch. Most sites have them at the rear left hand side corner (as you look down the pitch) combined with the EHU bollard but some could be on the right rear hand corner. If it's the left then one length of blue hose that comes with the 'kit' will suffice, if its the right then you'll need to buy an extension.

For waste some have them near the peg at the rear of the pitch, but some newer ones have them with the bollard that has EHU and fresh tap. However some sites have them just behind your rear caravan wheel covered by a flat pull up plate and so close to your waste outlet, assuming it is there and not at the back of your caravan.

The club does seem to be standardising on the left rear bollard with EHU, fresh tap and drain. One more thing get a range of connectors for the fresh water tap, sometimes it screw in, sometimes push on, just like your garden connectors. I got mine from Aldi, but the basic range from any DIY or garden store will do. And don't forget to take it with you when you leave, only an idiot would do otherwiseembarassed

I would ring the site and ask. Hope this helps but please ask if it doesn't. Enjoy your stay.

Half a metre more than you have available (Sod's Law Section 3 (a5))

IMHO if you are not going to use serviced pitches except when standard pitches are full ,why spend add to pitch supplement getting more water and waste pipes as the tap and drain are very close to the LV ,use your usual kit

This is a very good article to guide you:

    https://caravanchronicles.com/2013/05/26/connecting-your-drainage-on-serviced-pitches/

Works out about £12 for the bits from screwfix or similar.

Gives you a length of up to 6.5m if you trombone one pipe inside the other. That in itself has been sufficient for most sites we've used.

The newest refurbished CAMC sites we've used serviced pitches on, Southport and Black Knowl, the grey waste is middle of the caravan at rear. Tap for water is on the bollard, on each of those sites far right side of pitch looking in.

Lots of CLs like you to give the plants a water so as long as you can in terms of greasy waste pipe.

One pipe is slid inside the other and attached to the rear offside chassis leg using cycle straps. Bag of connectors and manifold lives in the front locker. Manifold is used with waste water container normally.

When we were at Cirencester ( and some other sites) the service element of the pitch was as CS describes above. However when we were at Seacroft (new part) the serviced element of the pitch was annoyingly situated halfway between adjacent pitches which require slightly longer lengths of water and waste hose.

Went to a private site  that had this cracked
The waste inlet was on a long flexible hose, which you moved to fit the caravan , so you uses the same outlet hose you would use on a waste master Brilliant
