Hi Everyone,  I have just bought a Compass Capiro (2017) from a dealer, but had a few problems with the alarm going off for no apparent reason whilst it’s alarmed on our drive. Key fobs work fine and I have just put a new battery in the PIR.
Any suggestions would be appreciated?
Cheers Steve

Most likely to need a new sealed 12v lead acid back up battery which is contained within the alarm box. Renewed ours after similar problems at 4 years on previous Elldis Avante.

You can buy them on eBay or at screwfix where I bought one. Check in box the size which is usually a 20ah 12v.

Thanks Forest R,  the silly question is any idea where it could be? I have looked everywhere.

Spiders and draughts from open hatches have been known to trigger false alarms.

It was in a box in  the left hand long bunk locker in our two berth but may be in a different location. If you cannot find it ask the supplying dealer who if he does not know can ask Elddis.

Has the dealer given you any warranty which could cover the battery renewal?

Thanks ForestR, Yes, we do have a 12 month warranty, so will give them a try!

@ Cyberyacht - Thanks for the tips.
