New caravan delivery times

We ordered a Swift caravan at the Manchester show in January and are still waiting delivery from the factory.  Our local dealer says he still cannot get a delivery date.  Has anyone else had the same problem?

We bought our new Swift direct from stock in June, was exactly what we wanted and a great deal too. Why nit See if you can locate the van you want in stock within reasonable distance from home? Some dealers seem more on the ball than others.....

the World has been a bit busy since January .... I can't think that making caravans has been particularly high on the priority list 😏

Yes indeed, i have said similar elsewhere only to get criticised for being rude to the OP and hence my reply above. For clarity the Swift factory only reopened 2 weeks ago after a 5 months or so of closure, i imagine most manufacturers are in a similar position. A couple of times when heading towards Hull recently i have seen new caravans on delivery trucks so presumably they are getting stock out to dealers.

We ordered our new van mid February, with original delivery date of beginning of June which went by the wayside.  Got a new date of mid August once factory reopened which was postponed again due to parts on order / delayed.  Eventually picked it up 10 days ago.  Dealer were great in arranging and keeping us updated, with a justified reason for all delays.

    Hope you get it soon.

Certainly has, but I sympathise with the Op. and can see why he is looking for support after spending a large amount of money.

2021 models will be out shortly, and a 2020 model will be losing money before its even delivered.

Personally, I would be looking to cancel.

I know what you mean, but I can't think the dealer will know any more than the OP.

Will 2021 models actually be on the cards considering that 2020 has generally been a wash out for many?

Maybe cancelling would be a good idea

A 2021 model will probably only have "enhanced graphics"

Winter is coming and lockdown is coming. Do you really need a new caravan now? I would certainly cancel and start again when normal life resumes. I just hope you didn't pay money upfront all those months ago, and if you did that you can recover it.
