Weights for gazebo curtains

Good day to you all.

We have a gazebo we would like to use when caravaning, but find if we close the curtains the littlest breeze flaps the curtains about.

Have you any suggestions what we can use to weigh the curtains down that can be fixed to the curtains.  We dont want to anchor them to the ground and we want to be able to open or close as needed. I've seen small weights you sew into home curtains but not sure if they would have enough weight in them to stop curtains blowing about. Have any of you solved a problem like this.

R.

I believe that some ladies used weights sewn into the skirt hems to protect their modesty, not sure if such things would be heavy enough to do the job for you in these days of higher than normal winds wink

You can buy weights, I found it cheaper to use coins! There is also weighted cord by the metre available. You need to sew weights in place but can thread the cord through a hem. Don't forget they will add to your weight - obviously! So just be aware of limits with payloads.

Might I suggest attaching something like a clothes peg or 2 to get an idea of weight required and whether it would work?

Alternatively velcro attached to curtain and wall? And each other?

As an aside are you allowed to erect a gazebo on a pitch? Would it be safe overnight etc etc?

I am reliably informed that you can buy weights designed to be clipped onto tablecloths on outdoor tables, to stop them blowing away.

Something like that might work on your curtains.

    >>> This <<< is the type of thing available on the web or you could use coins or tablecloth weights but that could work out expensive as you'd need several sets.

These are the type of thing readily available.

The things I use for that, KjellNN,  are the spring metal clips that are used in Drawing Offices ~~ Helix Drawing Board Clips

Might be worth trying a fishing tackle shop for line weights. All shapes and sizes.
