Mobile Tyron Tyre fitters

Hi

I've just had my van serviced and it looks like I need a couple of new tyres. My wheels are fitted with Tyron bands and I would really like to have the tyres fitted at home by a mobile fitter.

Can any of you recommend a mobile fitter who has the equipment needed to deal with tyron bands when changing the tyre?

i am based in the Southport area in the North West

    I believe the Kwik Fit mobile fitters can do it, but suggest you check that as I heard it a while back.

    I'm fairly sure National Tyres do mobile fitting.

    If they do then you may qualify for a Club discount. See club offers at top of page, click on members offers and scroll down as I think all offers are in alphabetical order.

    Would be interested to hear the outcome, Giles.  We needed the tyres changed on our caravan in 2018.  We used Watling Tyres (which is very local to us)  but,  although they did a mobile service at our storage site, they had to remove the wheels and take them back to their workshop as they couldn’t change the tyres on site with Tyron bands ftted.

    When we had a caravan ETyres came out a couple of times and they were able to change tyres fitted with Tyron Bands. However always best to ask before making a booking and also be prepared that you might be charged extra as changing a tyre with Tyron Bands is time consuming.
