TV relocation in PVC's

With our two previous coachbuilts the TV has been positioned just behind the drivers seat and was viewable from the passenger cab seat & the dinette bench seating.

It seems that most PVC’s have the TV mounted on the walling behind the dinette bench seating – meaning that it can only be viewed from either cab seat.

This is a bit of an issue for us.

Thus, my question is, is there any mounting system that can i) hang beneath the sink/hob overhead cupboard or ii) be suspended in front of the sliding doorway or on the side of the overhead cupboard.

We realise that i) might be issue when using the hob but that would be very rarely in use as we tend to microwave pre-prepared meals or BBQ, & in ii) access in & out of the doorway would be compromised.

We realise that cabling etc. would need to be relocated etc. but wonder whether what I have described is available or feasible.

I feel sure that I have seen a motorhome with ii) but attached to the side of the overhead cupboard.

Thanks in advance,

PilgrimPhil

I guess a lot depends on the layout of your PVC.

In ours we have 2 points on which we can locate the TV, one is on the free standing cupboard worktop or wall behind the divers seat, we find that to close for the driver but fine for the passenger.

The other point we have is at the rear of the van on the side wall of the wardrobe, we have a bracket that we hang the tv on once on site. Our layout is typical of a UK van with 2 long seats in the rear of the van which also forms the beds at night, so its our lounge and bedroom.

I have seen flip down tv's that have been mounted in MH's also some have a top locker that the tv goes up inside so there must be brackets out there that could be used as you are suggesting.

We have a swivel extending tv backet that is mounted on one of the cupboard sides ,we have a quick release mount on the rear of the tv which enables it to be easely removed when travelling (which could also be handy if mounted over the hob?)

We are looking at an Adria Twin which has the sliding door on the offside & the hob & sink protruding part way across the opening. There is an overhead cupboard inline with the hob/sink. That is the sort of location that I am looking at.

With our coachbuilts we have had drop down TV from the roof lining [Knaus Sun Ti] & our current Adria Coral has a drop down TV from the overhead cupboard behind the drivers seat.

I suppose I am trying to replicate this sort of layout where one person can watch TV from the passenger seat & the other from the dinette seating.

Might not be realistic or achievable!

Would a flip down type of fixing be any good? There are so many fixings out there plus integral tv units on the market too. I just googled the fixings and lots came up!

Just googled TV support systems as suggested and am amazed at the variety on offer! If we can't find something suitable from that, I would be surprised!

Flip up would be good - also the facility to remove the TV easily whilst travelling.

Then there is the issue of power supply & aerial cabling re-routing etc.

At least I now know that what I am seeking isn't impossible - just not straightforward!

    Thanks
