Why cant we book a certain pitch on a club site
hi all
back in February i book a serviced pitch at hillhead for September. when site opened for business we phoned to ask if we could has a certain pitch on the flat end of site near the dog walk. as my wife is unable to walk very far. but we was told by the person on site you could not just pick a certain pitch. i do feel that we should be able to pick a serviced pitch as i said any one from 1 to 8 but would really like 8. but no luck . dave

On the plus side, the dog will get a longer walk😁

No blue badge is needed to ask for a 'disabled' pitch but they are usually close to the facility block, not the dog walk.
Unless the serviced pitches were already ooccupied, which they weren't, surely the warden could have been a little more helpful if the circumstances were explained. Not much customer care evident there.

At least you can book a serviced pitch which is more than you can do for a non serviced hardstanding! I think it would lead to chaos If the Club allowed the booking of individual pitches. I know it's something that commercial sites do but there are difficulties like the time I tried to book a site over the weekend for four days. I was told they had space but I would have to move halfway through the stay because someone else had booked the pitch we would initially be on. From memory those pitches are not particularly near the toilet block so probably wouldn't be considered as a pitch to be reserved for someone who needed to be near the facility block?

Careful .... you could be considered as anti Club/warden 🙄 Look what happened when I wasn't pro warden

Check the OP again, ET.

I am neither pro nor anti anything without due cause, ED. I judge each issue on its apparent merits.
Goodness, I've even been known to like the odd post of yours!😀

How helpful it would have been if the warden had said to ring again a few days ahead of arrival.
