I have a 2008 Abbey gts215,  I need to remove the cutlery drawer, I would be grateful if any one can help. I have tried pulling out so far and lifting ,no success, I thought that there may be a strap with a press stud type fastener but no luck. Hope someone can put me right.

Is it not like domestic draws that have a screw from inside that screws to the runners. Many different types out there. A picture could help.

Thanks for your reply, the drawers in the front chest and the wardrobe you pull open part way and lift, this one doesn’t seem the same . Also the drawer has a plastic insert which I can’t remove to see further.

    Hi

don’t know if you have solved your drawer problem yet , as some have said there are different release ways, with my Bailey you pull the drawer fully open and if you look at the underside about 100 mm  from drawer face on both runners you can see plastic ‘ bulges’ press these ‘fully in’ on both sides and push upwards and out pops the drawer. When replacing pull runners fully and the drawer will snap in..

From my experiences of Swift built caravans I would suggest that you remove the plastic liner which should lift out using an appropriate tool and then undo the single screw each side which holds the drawer assembly to the runners.I do hate to see people struggle .wink

I would have thought a bit of commen sense would tell them that as also you can see the screw thread from the outside of the drawer. undecided

You could, of course, go to your nearest dealer and ask them.

After all they should be the experts.

So your saying you didn't even think of removing the insert before checking for screws.  Myself and Emily'sdad stated but we didn't think you needed to be told to remove insert. The mind boggles. surprised

Having looked at the plastic insert I could not remove, it just does not lift out. More serious look needed.THANKS. Always nice to know there is someone that is so much cleverer than yourself. Yes the mind does boggle.
